I’m so thankful I was able to raise my young children without social media telling me how horribly hard my job is and planting seeds of discontent. It’s stunning how quickly the messaging has changed for parents, but it’s even more unbelievable to think about what our children are being confronted with. Media, messaging, friends and others are reinforcing lies to our children, and as parents we get the incredible privilege to give them the tools to combat those with Biblical truths and to prepare them to stand in a world that’s becoming increasingly hostile to things of the Lord.
